BLS Initial The Cascade Training Center provides official American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Courses. Upon successful course completion you will be issued an official AHA BLS Provider card on site.
This official AHA BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers course satisfies both the INITIAL and RENEWAL certification requirements. The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages. The course is designed for healthcare providers working both in and out of hospital. The BLS course curriculum includes:
- Assessment of Unconscious Victims
- Adult Chest Compressions for Single and Multiple Rescuers
- -Ventilation with a Pocket Mask
- - Ventilation with Bag Valve Mask
- - Ventilation with Supplemental Oxygen
- Infant and Child CPR
- - Infant and Child Chest Compressions
- Treatment for Choking for all ages
- Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The American Heart Association requires each student to have access to their own current AHA BLS Provider Manual prior to, during and after the BLS / CPR course. If you do not have access to a Provider Manual, you MUST purchase one and will have the option to do so during your registration process. If the option to purchase a textbook is not available please contact the Training Center at (877) 277-6778 for further information. If you order a Provider Manual it will be provided on the day of class. Arrangements can be made for you to pick it up early if you prefer. Most classes include the option for shipping the Provider Manual. If you would like your textbook shipped to you before the course, please select the shipping option at the time of checkout. Your textbook will be shipped within 2 business days. If you do not see this option and would like the manual shipped to you please, contact the Training Center to make arrangements. The Cascade Training Center does not offer refunds once your registration is complete. If you have an emergency that makes you unable to attend the course, you must contact the Training Center 48 hours prior to the start time of the class. The Training Center Staff will move you to the next available course or issue a course credit. Course credits can only be applied to the same type of course, cannot be used by another person and must be used within 90 days of the missed course. Once a credit is applied, the student must attend that course – a credited course will not be refunded or credited a second time.
