Live Virtual ECG Class This is a course designed to teach basic and more advanced EKG recognition and treatment recommendations. It is an excellent recommended prerequisite to ACLS and PALS. The ECG/EKG Interpretation & Pharmacology class is a 6-hour course that is similar to those offered in the hospital setting. In addition to systematically interpreting advanced rhythms, students will learn what is happening anatomically and physiologically within the heart and its associated structures. This comprehensive course covers basic electrophysiology, normal ECG measurements, basic and advanced arrhythmias, and basic ACLS drug usage and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies. In addition to the topics mentioned above, we spend time reviewing actual patient rhythms and identifying them. This course does not include 12-Lead interpretation. Due to the complexity of 12-Lead interpretation, 12-Lead ECG is generally offered as a separate full-day class. A course completion certificate in ECG/EKG Interpretation and pharmacology will be awarded at the end of the class.
